Pre-planned activity calendars

Not sure where to start? Our pre-planned activity calendars take the pressure out of planning by giving you a clear starting point for the year. Each calendar is designed for different types of groups and goals, so you’re not starting from scratch.

You can follow a calendar step-by-step, or use it as a guide and adapt it to fit your group, your school, and your energy levels. The activities are laid out to help you build momentum over time — starting simple and growing into more involved actions if and when you’re ready.

The goal is to make it easier to get going, stay on track, and focus on making an impact — not on figuring out what to do next.

Quick Wins

Quick, easy, and no prep—Quick Wins are perfect for new groups or those just getting started. They’re a simple way to add extra impact alongside bigger projects or make road safety visible around your school. Fun, fast, and a great way to get your peers thinking.

Core SADD Activities

These are classic SADD activities that groups have been running for years. They take a bit more planning than Quick Wins, but some are still really easy while others are more challenging—there’s something for every group. You can adapt them to cover all kinds of road safety topics, and each comes with a full guide with step-by-step instructions and tips to help you plan and run it successfully. They’re also a great way to practise and build skills like event planning, leadership, teamwork, design, and public speaking while making a real impact in your school and community.

SADD Impact Sessions

Impact Sessions are facilitated learning experiences that help you dig deeper into road safety topics. You can run these sessions yourselves for other students as part of your SADD activity calendar, or choose to bring in a community partner or work with a teacher to help deliver them. Designed for classrooms or other group settings, Impact Sessions create space for real conversations, reflection, and skill-building — while giving you the chance to grow your confidence and leadership through planning and facilitation.

  • Bridie's Story - Crash Survivor

A powerful session featuring Bridie, a crash survivor, sharing her real-life experience. This session encourages reflection, discussion, and a deeper understanding of how everyday choices can have lasting impacts.

  • The Teenage Brain

A video series in partnership with Neuroscience Educator, Nathan Wallis, exploring how the teenage brain develops and how this can influence decision-making. This series helps students understand risk, impulse, and how to make safer choices.

  • The After-Party Interactive Video

An interactive video session where students make decisions and see how different choices play out. This session sparks discussion about risk, peer influence, and how choices can change outcomes.

  • Crash Analysis

An interactive session that uses a real scenario to break down the factors that contribute to a crash. Students explore how decisions, environment, and behaviour combine, and discuss how crashes are preventable and how to keep themselves safe.

Supporting resources

This section has the tools you actually need to run your SADD activities and Impact Sessions. You’ll find planning templates, step-by-step guides, and resources to help you work with teachers or community partners, build a solid team, and stay organised. Use these to save time, feel more confident, and make your ideas happen.
