Crash Analysis

This Crash Analysis activity puts participants in the role of crash investigators, helping them explore how and why serious crashes happen. Through analysing the events leading up to a crash, participants are encouraged to reflect on the factors that contribute to harm and take part in healthy discussions around safe road user decision-making.

Rather than focusing on blame, the session is designed to unpack the chain of decisions, conditions, and warning signs that can lead to a crash. It encourages participants to think critically about risk, responsibility, and the choices that can help keep people safe on the roads.

To support anyone running the session, we’ve created a full facilitation package including a set of presentation slides, video content, and facilitator guides. These resources are designed to make the session easy to deliver in a classroom, group, or community setting while supporting meaningful discussion and reflection around road safety.
