For the drive. For your mates. For your future.
This term, it’s all about showing up — for yourself, for your mates, and for your future.
Road safety isn’t just about rules — it’s about responsibility, respect, and real-life choices. The Show Up campaign is your chance to make those choices count.
Whether it’s checking your mates are buckled up, choosing not to get in the car with someone unsafe, or speaking up when it matters — how you show up can change everything.
Big or small, every action counts. So this term, we’re asking: How will YOU show up?

What does it mean to show up?
Showing up doesn’t mean doing something huge or dramatic — it just means making choices that show you care. Whether it’s speaking up, stepping in, or simply setting a good example, there are heaps of easy (and actually cool) ways to show up for your friends, your school, and your community. You don’t need to be a prefect, a leader, or the loudest in the room — just someone who’s willing to make a difference.
Still not sure? Here’s 10 ways that you can show up:
Speak up when your friend goes to drive tired or distracted – your voice could save lives.
2. Offer to be the sober driver for your group ( if you’re on a full licence) – showing up means being the responsible one.
3. Make sure everyone’s buckled up before you start the car – a small action, big impact.
4. Call out unsafe behaviour as a passenger – otherwise your silence can be seen as approval.
5. Organise a SADD activity at school – take the lead and bring others with you.
6. Support a friend who’s feeling peer pressured to take risks – back them up and speak out.
7. Post a message or story about road safety on your socials – use your voice to influence others.
8. Plan a safe way home before going out – showing up means thinking ahead.
9. Start a convo about road safety in your friend group or class – change starts with talk.
10. Model good habits every time you get in a car – like putting your phone away and driving alert.
Getting involved is easy — and totally up to you.
Whether you're keen to go big or just want to start small, the Show Up campaign is designed to be fun, flexible, and fit your vibe. You can pick one activity, mix a few together, or create your own way to show up for road safety. However you do it, what matters most is taking action and showing up in the way that suits you.
