Information For Teachers

Over the years, we have found that students who have a teacher support contact are more likely to be successful with the SADD programme and the school is more likely to have a sustainable, embedded SADD programme over time. As SADD is a student-led programme, we endeavour to keep teacher involvement to a minimum and we do our best to ensure the role does not impact your workload. How you engage with your SADD group is totally up to you, however, here are our recommendations:

1.

Be available to oversee what the SADD students plan, act as a sounding board and as the link between the students and staff/management

2.

Sign up for the SADD newsletter and pass on any relevant information and reminders to the students

3.

When students leave school at the end of a school year, help to advertise the opportunity to new students
