What's new this month

Phew! By the time this edition hits your inbox, we will be a quarter of the way through the year. It seems like only yesterday I was writing 2023 for the first time!

So far this year we have formally shared our rebranding along with the introduction of our 4 Programme Aspirations, (that was a biggee!) and this month, the Delivery Team hit the road in a big way (scroll down for more on that!).

Conference is….well…almost upon us. There wasn’t one last year so we will be making up for that and then some! We have new things to share so we hope to see you there!

On a personal note, I’ve been catching up with students from our past - National and Regional Leaders who are still working with us, as well as Jess and Tayla in their Youth Representative roles. You can learn a little about that below.

In other words - it’s busy and it’s about to get a heap busier!

Term 1 Workshops across Aotearoa

Well Term 1 has kicked off with a hiss and a roar. The Programme Delivery Leads have been out and about all over Aotearoa.

That’s what Term 1 is about! Meeting with as many rangatahi as possible to help set them up for success as we get further into 2023.

The Term 1 workshop covers our foundations and aspirations for the newer groups who are getting started and also looks into goal setting and problem solving for those more experienced groups. It’s a great chance for regions to collaborate and unite in creating safer roads in Aotearoa.

A big shout out to all students, teachers and partners who attended these workshops. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou! We hope to see you all at Conference this year to continue building momentum within your kura and community!

Here are some important dates to mark in your calendar. Our conferences are just around the corner so here they are again:

This month we want to thank DH and AS - both from Wellington and ND from Nelson.

Like last month, these generous donations have come at a timely moment for us. We have both Conference and Road Safety Week in successive months and there is no shortage of opportunities for us to put the benefit of these funds towards.
