The 9th – 15th August was a fantastic celebration of the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work that our student membership commits to the SADD programme all year round. SADD week is the pinnacle of our year and we are so thrilled that so many of you rose to the challenge and spread our key messages to your schools and communities. Turners Auctions Short Film Competition – time is almost up!!!

Calling all student film-makers ...

After such impressive entries in 2009, Blue Light and SADD have confirmed that the Short Film Competition will be an annual event – thanks to the generous sponsorship of Turners Auctions! We at SADD are thrilled to have found such a community-minded, generous, Kiwi business to help support this important competition, like the team at Turners - thanks guys! This year we seek the next generation of student film-makers to show their stuff in entering our secondary schools competition. With the chance to get national recognition and cash rewards – it’s SADD’s answer to the Oscars! If you are up for the challenge then you need to create a short film, under five minutes in length, with an anti-drink driving theme. There is a total prize pool of $6500 up for grabs, plus the chance to attend the glittery awards ceremony - so get your story-boards going ... get a crew together ... and check out the full details here.
